Law Enforcement Again Endorse Ciscomani in Southeast Arizona Congressional Race
TUCSON – Today, Arizona Conference of Police and Sheriffs (AZCOPS) announced their endorsement of Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06) for the United States Congress. Ciscomani is their choice in Arizona's 6th congressional district saying that as crime surges across Southeast Arizona, Ciscomani will support law enforcement through the proper funding and policies.
This latest endorsement is another law enforcement organizations backing Ciscomani. AZCOPS joins Arizona Police Association, Arizona Fraternal Order of Police, National Border Patrol Council as well as local sheriffs endorsing Ciscomani for U.S. Congress.
“As law enforcement faces challenges daily, we need strong representation at all levels of government who support our men and women in uniform," said Jim Parks, Executive Director of AZCOPS. "Juan will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our public safety employees. Our communities are seeing record crime rates, a growing fentanyl epidemic and shrinking departments with ongoing staffing challenges. Juan will advocate at the federal level for the proper investments and policies to ensure we have the resources and tools needed to keep our communities safe. We are proud to endorse Juan Ciscomani for Arizona's 6th congressional district and look forward to working with him in Congress."
“I am honored to have the endorsement of AZCOPS,” said Juan. “Public safety employees risk their lives daily and I will always have their back. Over the last few weeks, I have been endorsed by law enforcement, held a tele-townhall with police and hundreds of voters in the district, and continuously hear from voters their concerns on crime, drugs, and the need to keep our communities safe. We need to fully fund our police and implement the right policies to support our law enforcement men and women. I look forward to representing our law enforcement officials and advocating in Congress on their behalf."
