Ciscomani Brings Common Sense to AZ-06 Debate
While JoAnna Mendoza tried to run from her extreme record, Ciscomani laid out a proven record of bipartisan results for Southeastern Arizona.
TUCSON– Congressman Juan Ciscomani brought the facts to the podium during tonight’s Clean Elections debate, drawing a clear contrast between his record of delivering bipartisan results for Arizona’s Sixth Congressional District and JoAnna Mendoza’s extreme, costly agenda.
Mendoza spent the debate dodging a record that is completely out of touch with AZ-06. But she couldn’t hide from the facts. As a Washington-backed lobbyist, she spent years pushing higher taxes on Arizonans, and she has embraced defunding the police, putting public safety at risk and bringing crime closer to our own backyards.
Ciscomani has shown voters a different path rooted in common sense, bipartisanship, and results.
For his three years in office, Ciscomani has rejected the extremes on both sides of the aisle and worked with anyone willing to deliver for the district. That approach helped secure more than $61 million for roads, schools, water infrastructure, health care, public safety, and national security projects across the district. It has also earned Ciscomani recognition as Arizona’s most effective member of Congress from both the nonpartisan Center for Effective Lawmaking and Bridge Grades.
“Tonight, I brought the facts to the podium,” said Congressman Juan Ciscomani. “JoAnna Mendoza tried to explain away her record as a lobbyist and her embrace of defund the police and socialist ideology, but no amount of spin changes what her policies would mean for Arizonans. The people of Arizona's Sixth District want to keep more money in their pockets, feel safe in their neighborhoods, and know their representative is putting their interests first, not Washington's. My record proves that common sense leadership works. That's what I bring to the table.”
That results-driven record has built a broad coalition of support across the entire district, bringing together local mayors, county supervisors, law enforcement officers, veterans, small business owners, community leaders, Republicans, Democrats, and independents. Meanwhile, Mendoza's endorsement list shows AZ-06 who she is really fighting for — Washington Democrats, out-of-state special interests, and defund-the-police activist groups. Not a single sign that she works for AZ-06.
Tonight’s debate made the choice clear. JoAnna Mendoza is more of the same extreme, out-of-touch politics voters are tired of. Ciscomani rejects the extremes, protects the American Dream, and delivers common sense results for every corner of Arizona’s 6th congressional district.
