Home-Grown Tucsonan Vying for Open Seat in Southern Arizona
TUCSON — Republican Juan Ciscomani announced today he is running for U.S. Congress to represent Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District. Juan is a father of six children, a fighter for conservative values, and a dedicated professional who has spent his career working on the issues that face Southern Arizona.
For the last six years, Juan has carried the voice and message of Southern Arizonans to the Governor’s Office. Now, he’s ready to take that message to Washington, DC.
“I grew up right here in Southern Arizona. I’ve dedicated my career to fighting for this community, and I’m ready to take that fight to Congress,” said Juan. “Today, Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi are crushing our country, our state and our district with out-of-touch policies. We must stop their big-government schemes and failed approach to the border. Instead, we should focus on policies that preserve the American Dream for future generations.”
As a first-generation American, Juan’s love of country and patriotism were born out of his upbringing in a working-class family. His parents instilled in him conservative values, a strong work ethic, and an optimistic can-do attitude.
While attending public schools in Tucson, Juan held several jobs and earned scholarships to pay for school. He was the first from his family to achieve a higher education, graduating from Pima Community College and the University of Arizona.
Juan and his wife, Laura, are the proud parents of six active kids: Zoe, Juan IV, Kenneth, Lily, Lucas and Gloria, who they are raising in Tucson.
