NEW AD Puts Lobbyist JoAnna Mendoza’s Extreme Record on Display
TUCSON - Congressman Juan Ciscomani's campaign today released a new 30-second ad, "The Facts," laying out lobbyist JoAnna Mendoza's out-of-touch record.
JoAnna Mendoza wants voters to believe she is fighting for Arizona families, but the facts tell a different story.
Mendoza opposed the 2023 bipartisan Arizona Families Tax Rebate, a program that delivered more than $275 million back to over 744,000 Arizona families, and instead pushed to raise taxes on everyday necessities, including diapers, food, and feminine hygiene products.
Mendoza also opposed efforts to lower energy costs, fighting legislation that even Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs signed and said would "lower costs for everyday Arizonans." And when Congress cut taxes on qualified tips and overtime, Mendoza called it "ridiculous." She even pushed for higher taxes that would affect Social Security income, a hard hit to seniors living on fixed incomes across Arizona’s Sixth District.
Juan Ciscomani has done the opposite, every step of the way. He delivered real tax relief for Arizona families — no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and the Working Families Tax Cut. He fought to bring costs down for Arizona ratepayers and pushed for relief for seniors. Mendoza has fought against relief for Arizonans at every turn, while Ciscomani has delivered it to every corner of the district. That's the choice Arizonans face this November.
“Arizonans are stretching every dollar just to make it to the next paycheck, and JoAnna Mendoza's answer is more taxes,” said Ciscomani's Campaign Manager, Collin Edwards. “She keeps fighting back against relief for Arizona families and at some point you have to ask: whose side is she actually on? Because it's not ours. Arizona's Sixth District doesn't need a lobbyist who's spent her career finding new ways to squeeze working people. We need someone who shows up and delivers, and that's exactly what Congressman Ciscomani has done. Mendoza can try to rewrite her record, but the facts speak for themselves.”
