Congressman Juan Ciscomani Grows Coalition of Law Enforcement Support
Tucson Police Officers Association and Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Arizona Endorse Ciscomani for Re-Election, Growing His Coalition of Law Enforcement Support This November
TUCSON - Congressman Juan Ciscomani has added two more endorsements to his coalition of law enforcement support across Southern Arizona ahead of the November election. The latest additions include endorsements from the Tucson Police Officers Association (TPOA) and the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Arizona (CLEAA). TPOA represents more than 700 Tucson Police Department employees, and CLEAA represents law enforcement associations spanning Tucson, Pima County, Sierra Vista, and Cochise County.
“Congressman Ciscomani has shown up for our officers when it mattered,” said Darrell Hussman, President of TPOA. “Our department is stretched thin and operating with outdated resources, and he's delivered real funding to help close that gap. We're proud to endorse him for re-election.”
“The choice for law enforcement across AZ-06 this November is clear,” said Jobe Dickinson, Executive Director of CLEAA. “Congressman Ciscomani has delivered real resources for the men and women in blue and will keep fighting for them in Congress. CLEAA is proud to stand with him.”
The contrast between the two candidates is stark. Ciscomani's opponent, JoAnna Mendoza is backed by groups pushing to reallocate funding away from law enforcement at a time when they are already stretched thin. Ciscomani, by contrast, has directed $4.2 million to modernize the Tucson Police Department's vehicle fleet, $9.2 million in Community Project Funding for public safety in Oro Valley, Sahuarita, and Cochise County, and new radios for the Sahuarita Police Department, backed by endorsements from the National Border Patrol Council, the Arizona Fraternal Order of Police, and the Arizona Police Association.
“Our officers put their lives on the line for us every day, often short-staffed and with few resources, and they deserve leaders who show up for them," said Congressman Juan Ciscomani. "Radical politicians like Regina Romero and JoAnna Mendoza want to keep reallocating resources away from our officers, putting them and our communities at risk. I refuse to let that dangerous agenda take hold in AZ-06. I'll keep fighting for the resources our law enforcement needs to protect our families and keep our communities secure.”
Arizona families deserve to feel safe walking through their own neighborhoods, and Rep. Juan Ciscomani will keep fighting to keep it that way. Southern Arizona's law enforcement community has made clear who they trust to get the job done.
