First Mexican-born woman in Congress Endorses Ciscomani in Top Congressional Race

TUCSON – Republican Representative Mayra Flores of Texas announced today her endorsement of Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06) for U.S. Congress. Rep. Flores won a special election to flip Texas' 34th congressional district last month.

"I am proud to endorse Juan Ciscomani for Arizona's 6th congressional district," said Rep. Flores. "Juan understands the values that make the United States the land of opportunity and he will fight to preserve the American Dream for our kids and grandkids. But today's policies coming out of Washington do not represent our community and are hurting families. Juan is living the American Dream and only America offers this opportunity to people with Juan’s story and mine.  I look forward to serving together."

"It is an honor to receive Rep. Flores' endorsement," said Ciscomani. "She represents her district, the values of the Hispanic community and is fighting the preserve the American Dream. In a heavy Democrat district, Rep. Flores proved that standing on the issues can unite voters. Rising gas and grocery prices impact all of us. There needs to be a check on the spending come out of Washington and a focus on our nation's border security."

Rep. Mayra Flores (TX-34) joins many others in endorsing Ciscomani for AZ-06 including Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, Whip Steve Scalise, Republican Conference Chair Elise StefanikCongressional Leadership Fund, National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien, Arizona State Representative Teresa Martinez, Mayor of Marana Ed Honea, Mayor of Casa Grande Craig McFarland, Mayor of Sahuarita Tom Murphy, Cochise County border rancher John Ladd and others.

Arizona's new 6th congressional district is an open seat and one of the most competitive districts in the nation. Juan Ciscomani announced his run for AZ-06, a border district representing 5 counties, in early August 2021.
