True Colors: Mendoza Promises To Be The Partisan She Is

TUCSON – The Democratic candidate for Arizona’s 6th Congressional District showed her true colors at a campaign rally last weekend in Tucson.

JoAnna Mendoza has no interest in bipartisanship.

“I swear, if I start telling you that I am the most bipartisan member, please slap me,” she said at Saturday’s event.

The revelation was a sober reminder of just how unprepared Mendoza is to represent a congressional district that is equally divided between Democrats, Republicans and independents.

“Criticizing bipartisanship? That tells Southern Arizonans a lot,” said Ciscomani. “Arizona’s 6th congressional district is a politically diverse district with roughly one third Republican, one third Democrat and one third Democrat. No one can effectively represent our community and district in Washington without working across the aisle — it’s what our district demands. I’m proud to work with Republicans, Democrats and Independents to deliver results for our district. And proud to be independently ranked the most bipartisan, most effective and most collaborative member of the Arizona congressional delegation - House and Senate. Washington has enough partisanship. I’ll keep focusing on getting things done.”
