NEW AD: JoAnna Mendoza’s Radical Agenda Earns Her the Support of Failed Tucson Mayor Regina Romero

TUCSON - The Ciscomani for Congress campaign today released a new ad, "Radical Allies", turning JoAnna Mendoza’s support from failed, unpopular Tucson Mayor Regina Romero against her, highlighting her radical positions on public safety that have earned her this endorsement. 

Under Mayor Regina Romero's failed leadership, the residents of metro Tucson have seen one problem after another – crime, threats to law enforcement and fire funding, homelessness encampments spilling into the streets, and an agenda of higher and higher taxes.

It’s no wonder Romero supports Mendoza – they are one in the same.

Mendoza is backed by defund-the-police groups and national activist organizations funded almost entirely by Wall Street donors and national Democratic committees, not Arizonans, and has echoed the same anti-law enforcement rhetoric as Romero. 

Mendoza openly supports the reallocation of funding away from law enforcement, and in her own words has described police reform as “one aspect of the systemic racism that we have seen in our nation for a very long time.”

Congressman Ciscomani has earned the support of law enforcement organizations across Arizona, including the Tucson Police Officers Association, the Combined Law Enforcement Association of Arizona, the Arizona Fraternal Order of Police, and the Arizona Police Association.

He has backed that support with results. As Vice Chair of the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee, Ciscomani secured $4.2 million to modernize the Tucson Police Department's vehicle fleet, delivered $9.2 million to strengthen public safety in Oro Valley, Sahuarita, and Cochise County, helped secure new radios for the Sahuarita Police Department, and introduced legislation to strengthen border security and improve coordination among federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement.

JoAnna Mendoza is exactly the candidate Radical Mayor Regina Romero wants in Washington — an ally who would carry the same anti-law enforcement agenda to Congress. Arizona families cannot afford more of the same failed policies that have left Tucson's streets less safe and put communities at risk.
